DIY Shelf Infused Vinegar + It's Many Uses
Hello, all!
Today I'm bringing you a cleaning staple I have on hand at all times... I use this cleaning base in a plethora of my natural DIY cleaners. It is so versatile and cleans well - without the harsh and yucky toxins! Just all-natural goodness that will keep your home and laundry fresh. Yes, I did say laundry! I use this infused vinegar as an all-natural alternative to fabric softener. It works well!
Making your own toxin-free cleaning products may sound intimidating, but I'm here to show you how easy it truly is. It's basically just white distilled vinegar that has been infused for a few weeks with citrus rinds and herbs - so simple!
It's a great all-purpose natural cleaner when diluted with water. Start by watching the video below to get a feel for how it's done and then follow along with the instructions below.
DIY Shelf Infused Vinegar
Ingredients:
-White distilled vinegar
-lemon rinds
-orange rinds
-optional: lime rinds and fresh herbs
Directions:
1. Fill a jar 3/4 full with lemon rinds, orange rinds, or a blend of both
2. Fill the jar to the top with White Distilled Vinegar.
3. Put in the pantry, or leave on a counter (out of direct sunlight) for about two weeks.
4. Strain the peels out and the liquid is ready.
5. Put one cup of the infused vinegar in a spray bottle with 1 cup of water
6. Add some essential oils if you want (I like adding 10-15 drops of Lavender when I make 32 ounces).
