A Day At SBA!
Hello, All!
One of my favorite things about running a small business is how detailed myself and the team are about all the little things. We are so appreciative of our customers and SBA fam members, so we love adding special touches and taking great care to pay attention to detail.
I thought I would take you on a tour of what a daily grind can look like at SBA, from the perspective of SBA’s founder and formulator. Of course, one email is not enough to showcase all the small details that go into running a small business, but I thought I’d give you a brief overview of what a day at SBA looks like. Come on, let’s get to work!
When I arrive to our SBA building, I’ll check inventory and future orders to see what needs to be restocked and how much, and then I’ll prioritize making those products. I do spend a lot of time in the crafting/formulating space because I make everything in small batches so it’s as fresh and long-lasting as possible. Some products actually take weeks to craft, depending on the ingredients (for example, our repair cream and purifying serum).
I have a distinct, sanitized room where all the formulating happens. So, to keep things as clean as possible, my working space is sanitized. I have covers over my shoes, my clothes are lint rolled, my hair is covered for the most part, and I have a single-use body cover on to ensure nothing floats off of me and into the products.
When I’m not in the "lab", I’m usually bopping around, saying "hi" to our amazing SBA team members who help out with packing orders, labeling, making boxes, and so much more!
After formulating and checking on all the other tasks at the building, I will spend some time creating or editing content for SBA social media platforms. Next, I’ll tag in with some of my other team members in charge of other SBA marketing-related things and look over the work that’s being done for future releases.
Of course, there are so many more details that happen daily at SBA, but I wanted to bring you along and give you a little "tour". =) I hope you enjoyed the journey!
